This year at the E3 Expo (June 7-9, 2011), Nintendo announced the Wii U, the successor to the popular Wii console. The new console is set to launch in 2012 and will offer high definition 1080 HD gaming, something Nintendo fans have been waiting for. The new console will be backwards-compatible with Wii games and some controllers like the wiimote and nunchuck.
In addition to the new console is the new 6.2-inch, 16:9 touchscreen tablet controller. This new controller will let you interact with games like never before. Put the controller on the floor and use it to tee off in a golf game. Use it as a scope to spy on people in an apartment building. Use it as a weapon and item select screen on your quest to find Zelda. The possibilities are endless. Check out the video below to see the new controller in action.
